PROGRAMS OFFERED

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SERVICE: Beginning September 14, 2011 we will have an informal contemporary worship service at 7pm in Pilgrim Hall. Musician Chris Williams will be leading the service, which will be 45 minutes in duration. We are looking forward to adding a new element to our worship experience.

RENOVATUS:  Each Sunday evening at 7pm college age youth gather in the youth room with Matt Moncrief to discuss their concerns and to make God meaningful in their lives.

BROWN BAG BIBLE:  After a summer hiatus which ends Sept 12th, every Monday at noon a group gathers in the conference room to study the scripture for the upcoming Sunday.  Led by Dr. Bingham.

WEDNESDAY YOUTH BIBLE STUDY: Each Wednesday at 6pm Matt Moncrief leads our young people in fun activities along with Bible study.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP DINNER AND PROGRAM: At various times during the church year there is a dinner on the 3^rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 followed by a special program such as the Christmas pageant, choir night, etc.  Check the calendar for dates.

MONDAY MORNING WOMEN”S BREAKFAST GROUP: meets at 7:30 at Carrow’s in Pomona, 401 Foothuill Blvd.

THURSDAY MORNING MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP: meets at 8:30 at Mission Family Restaurant 888W. Mission Blvd. Pomona.

FRIDAY MORNING MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP: meets at 6:30 at Roberta’s Village Inn in downtown La Verne, 2326 “D” St.

FRIDAY DINNER GROUP: Every Friday a group of Pilgrims meets for dinner at a different restaurant in the Pomona Valley.  Call the church office for information.

BRIDGE: a group meets in the church parlor every 4^th Friday of the month for a friendly game of bridge.

VARIOUS 12 STEP GROUPS:  meet at Pilgrim. Check the calendar for days and times.

Hand in Hand Together at Christmas:  This is the title of a program that supports the neediest of families enrolled in the Head-Start Program of Pomona Unified School District.

The case-workers of PUSD identify families with home visits. They determine the need and supply Pilgrim Church members with the names, ages clothing sizes and wish lists of the children Pilgrim Church partners with Pomona Fellowship Church of the Brethren and provides food, clothing, toys and gifts at Christmas time for 15 families.

We also provide grocery gift cards, for food at Easter so that these families can have an Easter dinner that is beyond their abilities to provide.
